ΠΑΥΣΗ ΠΛΗΡΩΜΩΝ - ΕΞΟΔΟΣ ΑΠΟ ΤΟ ΕΥΡΩ!

ΔΝΤ σημαίνει φτώχεια ανεργία, κατοχή κι επικυριαρχία

Δραματική επιδείνωση της θέσης των εργαζομένων, της νεολαίας και των συνταξιούχων προοιωνίζεται η προσφυγή στο ΔΝΤ και το μηχανισμό διάσωσης της ΕΕ. Με αφορμή την δυσκολία δανεισμού του δημοσίου, επιχειρείται ένα πρωτοφανές για τα μεταπολεμικά δεδομένα πλήγμα στις κατακτήσεις των εργαζομένων.
Η κυβέρνηση του ΠΑΣΟΚ, μετά από ένα καταιγισμό αντιλαϊκών μέτρων (αύξηση του ΦΠΑ, την μείωση των μισθών των δημόσιων υπαλλήλων, κ.α.), με το μνημόνιο που ψήφισε στη Βουλή, φέρεται αποφασισμένη να επιβάλλει: καταστρατήγηση των συλλογικών συμβάσεων, δραματική συρρίκνωση σε βαθμό εξαφάνισης των ασφαλιστικών μας δικαιωμάτων, κατάργηση του ορίου απολύσεων που θα οδηγήσει σε έκρηξη την ανεργία, περαιτέρω ελαστικοποίηση των σχέσεων εργασίας κ.α.
Ωστόσο, η κυβέρνηση του ΠΑΣΟΚ, εκλέχτηκε με δέκα μονάδες διαφορά από τη ΝΔ τον Οκτώβρη υποσχόμενη αναδιανομή του εισοδήματος προς όφελος των εργαζομένων και πράττει ακριβώς τ’ αντίθετο. Επομένως, δεν έχει καμιά νομιμοποίηση να σύρει τους εργαζόμενους στο σφαγείο του ΔΝΤ και του (κατ’ ευφημισμό) μηχανισμού διάσωσης της ΕΕ.
Η προσφυγή στο μισητό ΔΝΤ ισοδυναμεί με κοινωνικό όλεθρο γιατί θα προκαλέσει έκρηξη της φτώχειας και συνεχή μέτρα λιτότητας, καθώς η ύφεση θα οδηγεί σε συνεχή συρρίκνωση τα δημόσια έσοδα. Τι θετικό άλλωστε βρίσκει η κυβέρνηση στην Ουγγαρία, τη Λετονία, την Ουκρανία, την Τουρκία και δεκάδες άλλες χώρες του κόσμου που υποβλήθηκαν στο παρελθόν στις θεραπείες σοκ του μισητού οργανισμού;
Η κυβέρνηση του ΠΑΣΟΚ είναι εκτεθειμένη πολύ περισσότερο μετά την απόφαση της ΕΕ στις 9 Μαΐου όταν έγινε εμφανές πως υπήρχαν κι άλλοι δρόμοι από την μετατροπή των εργαζομένων της Ελλάδας σε πειραματόζωα για την εφαρμογή των νέων αντι-εργασιακών μέτρων. Πρόκειται για εξέλιξη που διευκολύνει την Ελλάδα να ζητήσει ακύρωση των αντιλαϊκών μέτρων.

Ο νέος Διεθνής Οικονομικός Έλεγχος δεν είναι μονόδρομος

Η κυβέρνηση εξ αρχής είχε κι άλλους δρόμους πριν οδηγήσει την Ελλάδα στο τελευταίο σκαλοπάτι του διασυρμού, εκεί που συνωστίζονται όλα τα αποτυχημένα κράτη του κόσμου. Μπορούσε: να προσφύγει σε εσωτερικό δανεισμό (κάτι που δεν έκανε για να μη δυσαρεστήσει τους τραπεζίτες που θα έχαναν μέρος των καταθέσεων), να απαιτήσει ευνοϊκό δανεισμό από την ΕΚΤ (με επιτόκιο 1% που δανείζει τις τράπεζες), να απευθυνθεί στην Κίνα (όχι μέσω της …Goldman Sachs), στη Ρωσία και στις αραβικές χώρες, να απαιτήσει διμερή δανεισμό από άλλες χώρες της ΕΕ ακόμη κι απ’ τη Γερμανία με το επιτόκιο που δανείζεται η ίδια, ως ελάχιστη υποχρέωση τους για τη ζημιά που έχουν προκαλέσει στο εμπορικό ισοζύγιο της Ελλάδας από το 1981, να συμπτύξει μέτωπο διεκδίκησης φθηνών δανείων με άλλες χώρες του νότου που αντιμετωπίζουν το ίδιο πρόβλημα (Ισπανία, Πορτογαλία, Ιταλία, κ.λπ), να αντιμετωπίσει τη φοροδιαφυγή, που αγγίζει τα 19 δισ. ευρώ (8% του ΑΕΠ), να φορολογήσει την εκκλησία, τις τράπεζες, τους εφοπλιστές, να μειώσει τους εξοπλισμούς, κ.α.
Αντί για τα παραπάνω η κυβέρνηση επέλεξε ένα νέο Διεθνή Οικονομικό Έλεγχο υπό το μανδύα του ΔΝΤ, επικαλούμενη τα σπρεντς της δευτερογενούς αγοράς (που μόνο ενδεικτική σημασία έχουν) πριν καν εκδώσει ομόλογα! Μια επιλογή που αποδεικνύεται καταστροφική κι επίσης ατελέσφορη. Ιδιαίτερα, μετά την ολιγωρία της κυβέρνησης να βάλει πρακτικά εμπόδια στη συνεχή φυγή κεφαλαίων από τις τράπεζες που οξύνει τα πρόβλημα ρευστότητας αυξάνοντας τον κίνδυνο δέσμευσης των καταθέσεων των μικροαποταμιευτών από τους τραπεζίτες!
Η κυβέρνηση επομένως, με τη συνενοχή του ΛΑΟΣ, των ξένων πρεσβειών, την ουσιαστική συμφωνία της ΝΔ και με την ενθάρρυνση των ΜΜΕ που καλλιεργούν κλίμα πανικού επωμίζεται τεράστιες, ιστορικές ευθύνες που ισοδυναμούν με πρωτοφανή οπισθοδρόμηση στο επίπεδο της οικονομίας και των κοινωνικών δικαιωμάτων. Δραματικές είναι επίσης κι οι συνέπειες στο μέτωπο των δημοκρατικών ελευθεριών που σηματοδοτεί η ξένη κατοχή όπως φαίνεται από τις υπερεξουσίες που συγκεντρώνει ο υπουργός Οικονομικών, από την επίδειξη βίας των δυνάμεων καταστολής και τις επιθέσεις στην Αριστερά και σε τμήματα πρωτοπόρων εργατών που μάχονται για τα δικαιώματά τους, όπως οι ναυτεργάτες.

Σε αυτό το κλίμα προοδευτικοί οικονομολόγοι και επιστήμονες με διαφορετικές απόψεις κι από διαφορετικές πολιτικές διαδρομές:

• καλούμαστε να σπάσουμε τη συνήθη σιωπή, να στηρίξουμε τους αγώνες των εργαζομένων για υπεράσπιση και διεύρυνση των κοινωνικών τους κατακτήσεων, για να μην περάσει ο νέος Μεσαίωνας.
• θεωρούμε πλέον κοινωνική αναγκαιότητα την έξοδο από το ευρώ και την ΟΝΕ κι επίσης την παύση πληρωμών του χρέους και την επαναδιαπραγμάτευση του με στόχο την μείωση ή και τη διαγραφή του. Οι εργαζόμενοι δεν έχουν κανένα λόγο να επωμίζονται κάθε χρόνο το τεράστιο βάρος εξυπηρέτησης ενός χρέους που δεν δημιούργησαν οι ίδιοι και παραλύει κάθε προσπάθεια άσκησης φιλολαϊκής πολιτικής. Αρκεί ν΄ αναφερθεί πως με βάση τον κρατικό προϋπολογισμό, που έχει ανατραπεί επί τα χείρω, οι πληρωμές τόκων (12,3 δισ. ευρώ) είναι διπλάσιες από τις πληρωμές συντάξεων (6,4 δισ.), ενώ τα χρεολύσια (29,1 δισ.) ξεπερνούν τις δαπάνες προσωπικού (26,5 δισ.)!
• απαιτούμε από την κυβέρνηση να θέσει επιτέλους ένα φραγμό στη ασυδοσία των τραπεζών επιβάλλοντας απαγόρευση φυγής κεφαλαίων, να προχωρήσει στην κρατικοποίηση των μεγάλων τραπεζών, την επαναφορά στο δημόσιο των στρατηγικής σημασίας ιδιωτικοποιημένων επιχειρήσεων (ΟΤΕ, Ολυμπιακή κ.α.) την εφαρμογή μέσω του Προγράμματος Δημοσίων Επενδύσεων μιας μακρόπνοης βιομηχανικής πολιτικής.
• άμεσα δε, διεκδικούμε την αύξηση των συντελεστών φορολόγησης των μεγάλων επιχειρήσεων, στο 45%, όπως ήταν μέχρι το 1981. Με βάση υπολογισμούς του σημερινού υπουργού Οικονομικών, από την μείωση των συντελεστών φορολόγησης των ΑΕ (από 35% στο 25%) που ανακοίνωσε ο Κ. Καραμανλής από τη ΔΕΘ το 2004, το δημόσιο χάνει κάθε χρόνο 5 δισ. Επομένως, τα διαφυγόντα έσοδα την τελευταία 6ετία είναι ίσα με το έλλειμμα του προϋπολογισμού. Γι’ αυτό ζητάμε άμεση αύξηση της φορολόγησης κεφαλαίου για να στηριχθεί η δημόσια υγεία και παιδεία. Επίσης ζητάμε μείωση του ΦΠΑ και των έμμεσων φόρων και αύξηση του αφορολόγητου ορίου για τους εργαζόμενους. Αυτά τα μέτρα μπορούν να λύσουν το πρόβλημα χρηματοδότησης της οικονομίας κι αποτελούν αφετηρία μιας γενναίας αναδιανομής του κοινωνικού πλούτου που έχουν ανάγκη οι εργαζόμενοι.
• καλούμε τον ελληνικό λαό να ανατρέψει τη νέα κατοχή. Να ακυρώσει τα εξευτελιστικά, αντιλαϊκά σχέδια υποταγής στο ΔΝΤ και τον μηχανισμό εξόντωσης της ΕΕ.
• Τέλος, αναγνωρίζοντας την ανάγκη διεύρυνσης του μετώπου δηλώνουμε την πρόθεσή μας να συμβάλουμε στο μέτρο των δυνάμεών μας σε κάθε ευρύτερη πρωτοβουλία που θα κινείται στην κατεύθυνση στήριξης των λαϊκών αγώνων και καταγγελίας της κυβερνητικής πολιτικής.

IMF means poverty, unemployment, occupation and foreign control

Cessation of payments - exit from eurozone

With the outbreak of the crisis and the initial public reaction against the government, the IMF and the EU, 30 Greek economists and academics formed a framework of demands. A common characteristic of which demands is that they constitute a way out of the crisis beneficial to the working people.

The article was publicized on the website http:www.gopetition.com/online/36271.html and immediately made a great impression. At this time 700 signatures have been collected in particular the following is mentioned:

Greek adherence to the IMF and the EU rescue mechanism will dramatically worsen the lives of the Greek working people, as well as the young and pensioners. Difficulties in national debt financing are being used as a pretext for an unprecedented, in the post-war era, attack on workers.

After the initial barrage of measures attacking ordinary people (VAT increase, pay cuts for civil servants etc) the PASOK government has rushed a memorandum through parliament that would: dismantle collective bargaining, shrink social insurance to oblivion, free layoffs and thus cause unemployment to skyrocket introducing even more flexibility to the labour market and so on.

The PASOK government was elected in a landslide in October 2009 amidst promises of income redistribution in favour of the working people, but the policies it is currently implementing are the exact opposite. Thus, it can claim no popular mandate in condemning workers to the IMF slaughterhouse and to the terms imposed by the (so called) EU rescue mechanism.

The intervention of the much hated IMF will result in social armageddon, as poverty spreads and packages of austerity measures follow one another, while a depressed economy further diminishes state income. Could the Greek government point to anything good having happened to Hungary, Latvia, Ukraine, Turkey and to the many more countries already subjected to IMF shock therapy?

The PASOK government is even more vulnerable to criticism after the May 9 EU decision, which made it abundantly clear that there are solutions other than turning Greek workers to Guinea pigs testing the implementation of these new measures. This turn of events helps Greece press for a repeal of the measures harming the interests of the people.

The new International Economic Control is not a one-way street.

From the very beginning, the Greek government had options other than to plunge the country to the abyss, where only failed states dwell. The government could have resorted to internal lending (but it didn’t, because using bank deposits to finance the debt would have displeased the bankers) it could have demanded good lending terms from the ECB (1% interest loans, such as those accorded to the banks) it could have turned to China (not using ...Goldman Sachs as an intermediary ) to Russia and the arab countries, it could have demanded bilateral loans from other EU countries, even from Germany, with the same interest rates Germany itself gets, as a small compensation for the damage it has caused to the Greek balance of payments since 1981, it could have formed a common front with other southern countries facing similar problems (Spain, Portugal, Italy etc) asking for cheap loans, it could have combated tax evasion amounting to 19 b. euros (8% of GDP) a year, it could have taxed the Greek orthodox church, banks, ship-owners, it could have slashed arms purchases and so on.

Instead of the above, the government chose a new International Economic Control, now known as the IMF, prompted to a decision by the secondary bond market spreads (that are only indicating trends), without even trying to issue bonds. This choice has proven destructive and counterproductive. Especially since the government has failed to stop the constant outflow of capital from the banks, worsening liquidity problems and increasing the risk of banks freezing small account holders' money!

So the government, with the complicity of (far right party) LAOS and foreign embassies, helped by the acquiescence of (conservative) ND and the incitement of a panic-inducing mass media, is shouldering huge, historical responsibilities for the unprecedented regression of the Greek economy and social rights. Foreign control also produces dramatic consequences in the field of democratic freedoms, as witnessed by the emergency powers accorded to the minister of finance, by the violence of the repression mechanisms, the attacks against the left and against forward looking workers, such as port workers, struggling for their rights.

Under these circumstances, we as progressive economists and scientists, holding differing views and coming from a variety of political backgrounds.

- Feel obliged to break the usual silence, in support of the struggle of the working people to uphold and expand their rights and to block the onset of the new Middle Ages.

-We now consider it socially necessary that Greece exits the euro and the EMU, that it stops debt repayments and that it negotiates the reduction or even the complete waiving of its debt. The working people have no reason to shoulder, year after year, the huge burden associated with servicing a mountain of debt they did not create, paralyzing every policy favourable to them.

According to the initial Greek budget (now revised for the worse) interest payments (E 12,3 b.) are two times higher than pensions spending (6,4 b.), while debt repayments amount to 29,1 b. higher than personnel costs in the entire public sector (26,5 b.)

-We demand that the government impose discipline on the unaccountable banks, to block capital flight, to nationalize big banks, to bring back privatized strategic companies (OTE, Olympic etc) to state control and to chart a long term industrial policy through the public investment program.

-As an immediate step, big business should be taxed at 45%, as was the case up to 1981. Based on the calculations of the current Economy Minister, tax cuts for business (from 35% to 25%) announced by the Karamanlis government in September 2004, cost the public coffers 5 b. euros per year. This means that the lost tax income of the past six years equals the budget deficit. This is why we demand an immediate increase in capital taxation, in support of public health and education. We also demand a reduction of the VAT and indirect taxation as well as higher tax-free margins for working people. These measures could finance the Greek economy and start the redistribution of social wealth, which is a necessity for the working people.

JEWISH BANKERS ON WALL STREET in league with Zionist Jews operating within high levels of both the Greek government and the EU.

These money lords are using Greece as a “test case” in order to seize the sovereignty of EU members’ fiscal infrastructure — and replace it with a centralized monetary center in Brussels.

Using the manipulative tool of “Finance Capital” to exploit the troubled budgetary policies of Greece, recent news has revealed that the New York Jewish Investment firm, Goldman Sachs, engaged in a controversial “currency swap” with the Greek government in 2002 during Greek Prime Minister Constantine Simitis’ term as head of state.

Simitis, whose real name is Aaron Avouris, a Jew, was the key player along with Lucas Papademos, who was Governor of the Bank of Greece at the time and former senior economist of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, in brokering the deal with Goldman Sachs.

EU authorities are now “demanding” details of the transaction although Greek officials assert that Eurostat, the EU’s statistics office, was “well aware” of the 2002 swap from the outset. (Of course, the Jews who own the European Central Bank were “well aware” of the entire affair prior to the transaction.)

Goldman Sachs was the clear winner in the deal - with Greece being the clear loser. The deal involved a cross-currency swap in which some €10 billion in Greek-debt, issued in dollars and yens to Greece, was swapped for Euro-debt to be repaid in euros, using a “fictional” exchange rate.

Goldman also earned a hefty commission on the trade, charging Greece $300 million as managers of the LOAN and later selling the swap to a Greek bank in 2005.

By using an artificially high exchange rate that didn’t accurately denote the market value of the euro, Goldman Sachs effectively advanced Greece only a €2.8 billion loan, yet on the books, the larger figure of €10 billion was the principal upon which Greece had agreed to repay with interest.

The exchange rate that Goldman Sachs selected for the transaction was determined by the very low level of the euro at the time—trading at around 85 U.S. cents—the Greeks thinking they got the better of the arrangement.

However, once the deal was made, the dollar dropped far lower than the euro, leaving Greece obligated to pay back the LOAN with a strong euro against a weak dollar. With Greece now up to their ears in greater debt, Goldman Sachs is reveling in their $24 million return on the transaction.

While the Jews of Goldman Sachs enjoy huge bonuses, massive taxpayer subsidies, and unrivalled political influence – Greece hangs it head as Goldman’s “useful idiot” by ending up not only as the villain in the piece by losing it EU voting rights and ‘tabbed’ as the gateway to an EU financial dictatorship.
